So far I've yet to find a method for rangers to do this Can't do anything if they go further though. If they went 15ft, well you can 5ft step and full attack. You can follow a foe up to 10ft (smacking them if they go further than that for leaving your threatened space since they moved further than 5ft) and next round if they moved 10, your already adjacent. Step up/Following Step is pretty good as well. Those are abilities that let you keep damage up when you move. Scout Rogue's can't move+TWF, but they can SA on a move which keeps damage competative. The Mobile Fighter can TWF Full attack by giving up his first iterative. The Two Weapon Warrior can at level 9 TWF as a standard action So how do Ranger's and other TWF classes fix this? This seems to be a corner case since most enemies with any self preservation reflex won't happily trade full attacks. Now most DM's will play enemies 'real' which means goblins (unless in great numbers) won't trade attacks with Full BAB classes. Not being able to full attack is the class's weakness. This is largely what makes 2 Handed better. I'm not sure of other people's tactic's, but the major drama of a TWF ranger is the same as any TWF class- you can't twf on a move. I use just about as much of the APG as the Core Rule Book, but yea I houserule that which I do not like. I'd just end up tinkering with the ranger a bit to make the FE more useful to more creature types, possibly adjust the spell if I see a point in adding it. A ranger spreading out FE to cover many creature types would get screwed, that doesnt appear sensible to me. If it for example gave a +4 boost to FE up to the maximum bonus for a ranger of that level it would be better, the spell rewards specializing in one single enemy, so you can get the maximum benefit against all creatures. If I think rangers need a boost, fix the ranger do not patch it with a mickey mouse sticker. It is just poorly designed, and no class should be dependant on any single spell to make it viable. I dislike the gamist nature of the spell, you max the bonus into one creature so you can use that spell to get the max bonus on another creature if you use that spell. Made him regret he didn't have animal growth or 'insert spell name' prepped. Gets spammed by a Ranger using all 3rd and 4th level slots for it. The DM has said 'for this AP, you should consider.'ģ. Doesn't get prepped (maybe 1) because the ranger's FE list is right for the adventure. Instant enemy either: 1.actually lets a ranger use his FE bonus because the dm doesn't use the selected FE'sĢ. The ranger spellist probably has the least offensive/buffing depth of any class. Why such a harsh opinion on it? The paly doesn't need divine favor but gets that. In my opinion it is a dumb spell, if the ranger class doesnt work as written change the ranger do not patch it with a single must have spell. Still, it’s an expensive proposition. If anyone wants to play a ranger in my gaming group first thing I will do is ban the instant enemy spell. There are a few companies that will build you a close approximation to the Ranger Raptor as well. We have seen some test mules running around the United States, but that doesn’t confirm anything for our market. Like the Ford F-150 Raptor we enjoy, the Ranger Raptor is fully outfitted with a serious, long-travel suspension system, armor, unique body components and a lots of attitude.Īmericans have been chomping at the bit to get their hands on one. Right now, the Ranger Raptor sells only overseas and it’s powered by a 2.0-liter turbo-diesel. There are rumors that we could get a version of the Ford Ranger Raptor in the United States. While it looks a lot like a Ranger Raptor – it isn’t. There is no mention of any interior upgrades either. It appears that the powertrain remains the same. This isn’t a simple cosmetic upgrade it’s a comprehensive physical upgrade that just happens to look pretty badass. If you have a current Ford Ranger 4X4 and a spare $11,573 – $15,948, you can upgrade to an APG Ranger Pro Runner. This could be pretty big for those of you who pine for a Ford Ranger Raptor and live on these shores.
